design approach
We like to keep things simple. Our design process values relationships and collaborations while making the most of the modest and natural. We focus on getting rid of the superfluous and reveal the aesthetics and benefits of natural materials and building processes. We believe it is essential to respect natural resources creating minimal, sustainable and healthy environments for everyone.
CZYK studio is currently working on several exciting residential projects and a culturally charged educational facility.
magdalena garbarczyk
Magdalena has worked as an architect in Europe and New Zealand for over 10 years. With a Master of Science (Architecture) from Deft University of Technology (the Netherlands), Magda acquired professional experience working alongside architects as Erick van Egeraat in Rotterdam and Fearon Hay Architects in Auckland. Since 2012 Magda has been involved in architectural education in New Zealand working as a lecturer at Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland. She runs Design Studio courses testing typologies and design methodologies in a young and creative environment, determined to link these projects with local industries embedding sustainability and collaboration. She is also involved in educational projects in China and in Sri Lanka.
CZYK studio has been founded as a way to put reflections and independent design thinking into practice. Since 2014 CZYK studio has regularly collaborated with various firms, offered design consultancy to private clients and designed residential and commercial projects.
